Letter from our Captain

The MooseCup!!

Welcome to the MooseCup!! The idea of this tournament was the long time dream of Rapid City Hooligan's elder statesman (and former Curd), Patrick Badiuk. After playing for 15 years on an old muddy outdoor rink, taking weeks to cure to within less than optimal conditions, hockey in Rapid City has finally reached a new era. The goals of this tournament are to spread the enthusiasm about this fast-paced, exciting sport and raise money for youth hockey in Rapid City. We anticipate this tournament to grow in magnitude and to become a crowd favorite.

However, a tournament just doesn't happen. Many people and business were involved in creating its success. We graciously thank all of our sponsors who have contributed to making this tournament a financial reality. Numerous volunteers have given their time, energy and expertise in its development and implementation. We would also like to extend our thanks to the crew and management of the Roosevelt Ice Arena for giving us this opportunity to make tournament hockey a possibility in Rapid City.

Game On!

Sincerely,

Geoff Bonar
Manager, Hooligan Hockey
